  • Wednesdays at 6:34pm at Nike Portland for a group run
  • Sundays at 10:04am for Ready, Set, Run, a run designed especially for beginning runners.

Nike+ Portland Coach: Steve Edwards and Julia Webb
A former collegiate runner at UNC and a 2:36 marathoner, Steve Edwards is excited to bring his passion for the sport to the Nike+ Run Club Portland. Having coached many elite runners to new records, he now looks to give back to the running community by coaching runners to be their best.

Julia has been running over 15 years; 10 full seasons on the track, specializing in the steeplechase. Highlights include a top 10 US Finish in 2013 and a NCAA III title in 2004. Having exposure to many coaches and groups, her passion to compete and share love of sport continues as she brings energy and expertise to NRC.

Portland Fit is a a training program for runners and walkers of all abilities, each with a goal of completing events including the Portland Marathon, Helvetia Half Marathon, Hood to Coast, Rock’n’Roll Portland Half Marathon, and many more. Our coaches are devoted to getting you in the best shape of your life in a non-intimidating, fun and safe environment. Upon joining, you will receive day-by-day training schedules, weekly group runs/walks, access to trained coaches, information seminars, free massages, and a Portland Fit Marathon Training shirt.

NW PDX Trail Runners is an intermediate level (but beginner friendly!) running group that meets every Saturday at Lower Macleay in Forest Park, and usually mid-week somewhere else in the park. Originally started in February of 2013 by Danielle Spillman, the group itself has grown steadily since the beginning, although the Saturday morning runs always seem to average about 15-20 runners.

The group is usually about half regulars, half newbies, so don’t worry! You’ll almost certainly find someone to run with, as we all run at different paces.

We’re all about trail running, camping, coffee, breakfast burritos, socializing over beers, exploring Portland and the surrounding areas, talking about gear, *not* talking about gear, etc. If any of those things sound like fun to you, then come run with us!

We are an energizing, empowering, supportive Portland running group network, a great fit for new runners and those running between 3 and 5 hour marathons.

Saturday group long runs run from November 1 – March 31 to prepare runners for spring marathons.  Each long run generally offers five or six pace groups, so you’ll be matched with runners of similar ability.  Long runs are usually two loops from the same but alternating locations.

Women of all abilities and ages will be represented in the program and joined by “pace mentors” and coaches for all paces. The program emphasizes developing lifelong running and walking habits, while also helping women meet performance goals. The program partners with local businesses, fitness professionals, dieticians and physical therapists to help members navigate the world of fitness.

Foot Traffic University is Portland’s original & most-trusted training program focusing on the 10K or Half Marathon distances (and now the marathon distance as well!). GREAT for those new to the sport or those that are interested in continuing their training.  Our program usually boasts around 200-300 members, which means there are MORE pace groups and more people at YOUR LEVEL! 

FTU provides a coach for runners and a separate dedicated coach for walkers as well. We also provide pace mentors for a WIDE VARIETY of paces all the way up to 20 plus-minutes per mile! We also have separate pace groups for those looking to slowly transition from walking to jogging.

Where: Meets at various locations and various parks throughout the Portland Metro area including Downtown Portland, Southeast Portland, Northeast Portland, Vancouver, &  more!

When: Most Saturdays at 8am. Locations and schedule will be emailed to registered participants.  Session One’s first meeting is on January 31sth at the Sellwood Foot Traffic (click here for directions) at 8am. Please be prepared for a very LIGHT jog or walk that morning.

Vancouver Fit is a group of training partners and friends focused on training for the Vancouver USA Full or Half Marathon held annually in June. Even if you’ve never run a step before, training with our group will help you conquer mental and physical barriers you never thought possible.

This is a women’s only Running Clinic, that is geared toward the beginner/average runner. This Womens’ training clinic is different than most……Runner Chicks is all about us girls! We are focused on fitness, fun, and friendship. Enjoy special “girlfriend fieldtrips” like breakfast after our run, a free yoga class to try together and a bootcamp class. Learn some new healthy, but yummy recipes, and of course will will have special discounted shopping nights! Welcome to Pace Setter Athletic Track Club also known as PSA Track Club.  Our intent is to introduce young athletes to the exciting world of track and field and to provide experienced athletes an opportunity to extend their training into the Junior Olympics. CCRC is a running club that serves Southwest Washington. Our club puts on over 30 races a year and they are all free to members. Membership is only $10. Our runs are open to the public also. The cost is $2 for non-members.

The Bowerman Track Club is an Oregon-based running group inspired by legendary coach Bill Bowerman, and organized similarly to traditional British running clubs where all levels of competitive athletes; from youth to elite to masters, are joined together as one team.

For our youth members we offer a Cross Country program during the fall. The BTC XC program runs from the start of September through the end of November. Youth members meet for practice 3 times a week and have the opportunity to compete on the local, regional and national level. We currently do not offer a similar program for the spring/summer track season but are exploring this as an option. For more info visit our Youth Page.

For post-collegiate runners, our BTC Elite program offers those still competing on a national caliber level a chance to continue pursuing their goals with other elite level athletes. For more info about the Elite program, visit the Elite Page.

Our BTC Pro group is composed a small group of top-level athletes competing on the national and international level. These athletes compete on the track, road and cross country scene in distances ranging from 800m to the marathon. Learn more about the out Pro runners on the Pro Page.

For families, we offer a couple different events throughout the year, including the Bowerman 5k and the August 3k Series.These events are a great way for the entire family to enjoy running together and meet some other BTC members.

Sure, we’re committed to each other, but we’re also committed to ourselves: to giving our potentially aimless ambitions a pointed, focused direction, while not waiting for all the stars to perfectly align only to be blinded by the sun. It’s from these ideals – celebrating the process and sharing the experience with great friends – that the Jacuzzi Boys Athletic Club was born.

Daughter. Wife. Sister. Friend. Woman. All of us. So we aren’t changing our name, but we now have two names. And if you weren’t sure before, please know, this group is not just for Moms. Because we ALL run this town.
