We are striving to promote this life style in East County. Our club is open to everyone…no matter what your experience, history, or future goals, we want to get there together.

Team Athena is a Portland, Oregon based women’s running club. Our mission is to promote women’s running throughout Oregon by providing an educational, supportive, and positive running environment for women of all ages and abilities.

NW PDX Trail Runners is an intermediate level (but beginner friendly!) running group that meets every Saturday at Lower Macleay in Forest Park, and usually mid-week somewhere else in the park. Originally started in February of 2013 by Danielle Spillman, the group itself has grown steadily since the beginning, although the Saturday morning runs always seem to average about 15-20 runners.
The group is usually about half regulars, half newbies, so don’t worry! You’ll almost certainly find someone to run with, as we all run at different paces.
We’re all about trail running, camping, coffee, breakfast burritos, socializing over beers, exploring Portland and the surrounding areas, talking about gear, *not* talking about gear, etc. If any of those things sound like fun to you, then come run with us!

Derek Scott has years of experience in both personal running as well as coaching. Collegiately, Derek was a 10-time All-American and 1 time national champion at Cornerstone University. Professionally, Derek ran for Team Indiana Elite in Bloomington, IN under the guidance of USATF Associate Sport and Science Director, Robert Chapman. Derek won the 2010 PUMA Mile, has a personal best of 3:57 in the mile and competed in the 2012 Olympic Trials Steeplechase under the guidance of coach and author of ‘Run Faster’, Brad Hudson.
Before volunteering with the University of Portland and Concordia University programs, Derek was the head distance coach for Liberty University, leading Sam Chelanga to NCAA Championships in both cross-country and the outdoor 5,000m. Derek now helps guide local runners of all abilities and has a very personalized coaching style. Derek can be contacted at email@example.com.

Nike+ Portland Coach: Steve Edwards and Julia Webb
A former collegiate runner at UNC and a 2:36 marathoner, Steve Edwards is excited to bring his passion for the sport to the Nike+ Run Club Portland. Having coached many elite runners to new records, he now looks to give back to the running community by coaching runners to be their best.
Julia has been running over 15 years; 10 full seasons on the track, specializing in the steeplechase. Highlights include a top 10 US Finish in 2013 and a NCAA III title in 2004. Having exposure to many coaches and groups, her passion to compete and share love of sport continues as she brings energy and expertise to NRC.
Portland Fit is a a training program for runners and walkers of all abilities, each with a goal of completing events including the Portland Marathon, Helvetia Half Marathon, Hood to Coast, Rock’n’Roll Portland Half Marathon, and many more. Our coaches are devoted to getting you in the best shape of your life in a non-intimidating, fun and safe environment. Upon joining, you will receive day-by-day training schedules, weekly group runs/walks, access to trained coaches, information seminars, free massages, and a Portland Fit Marathon Training shirt.
A total body workout, CorePower Yoga Sculpt classes are set to energizing music and designed to tone and sculpt every major muscle group. This class complements your regular yoga practice while boosting your metabolism and pushing your strength and flexibility to new heights. Free weights are added to the CorePower Yoga 2 (C2) sequence, creating resistance and intensifying each pose. Strength-training exercises such as squats, lunges, bicep and tricep curls are incorporated to build lean muscle mass. You will see visible results in your body. It is recommended that you take at least one CorePower level 1 or 2 (C1 or C2) class before a Yoga Sculpt class.
CCRC is a running club that serves Southwest Washington. Our club puts on over 30 races a year and they are all free to members. Membership is only $10. Our runs are open to the public also. The cost is $2 for non-members.
A weekly 3-5 mile group run followed by beer at our region’s best local breweries! A chance to explore new running routes and meet your fellow runners and walkers, then try some new beer or an old favorite. Each brewery will decide on a special for our group…happy hour, tastings, etc!

As a group, the Willamette Valley Road Runners promotes and participates in running and fitness events throughout the Willamette Valley.

The Columbia Gorge Running Club is for runners and walker of all ages and abilities. Although the hub is Stevenson, Washington, we welcome members from all over the gorge. The mission of the Columbia Gorge Running Club is to promote, practice, and enjoy the unbounded benefits of running, and walking as we support each other in our personal fitness goals.
Nikki is a two-time US Olympic Marathon Trials qualifier and former Portland Marathon champion, and has run 20 sub-3hr marathons. During her tenure as head coach of Team Athena, she helped develop the talents of over 100 women and grew the team into the largest women’s running force in the NW. Nikki crafts customized eight-week training programs and progressive training plans based on your profile, ability and your goals.
Her coaching focus is intermediate and advanced runners.
This is a women’s only Running Clinic, that is geared toward the beginner/average runner. This Womens’ training clinic is different than most……Runner Chicks is all about us girls! We are focused on fitness, fun, and friendship. Enjoy special “girlfriend fieldtrips” like breakfast after our run, a free yoga class to try together and a bootcamp class. Learn some new healthy, but yummy recipes, and of course will will have special discounted shopping nights! At the end of our training program we will have a girlfriend celebration, you will leave this training with new goals accomplished and new friendships made! You don’t want to miss out!
