Macleay Park, Portland, OR, United States

NW PDX Trail Runners is an intermediate level (but beginner friendly!) running group that meets every Saturday at Lower Macleay in Forest Park, and usually mid-week somewhere else in the park. Originally started in February of 2013 by Danielle Spillman, the group itself has grown steadily since the beginning, although the Saturday morning runs always seem to average about 15-20 runners.

The group is usually about half regulars, half newbies, so don’t worry! You’ll almost certainly find someone to run with, as we all run at different paces.

We’re all about trail running, camping, coffee, breakfast burritos, socializing over beers, exploring Portland and the surrounding areas, talking about gear, *not* talking about gear, etc. If any of those things sound like fun to you, then come run with us!

Established in 1981, “The Original Pace Setter Athletic” is the technical running store that other northwest running stores are modeled after. Founded and operated to this day by active, competitive runners, we do our personal best to fit you in the right shoe. But that’s not all. We will also ask about your related pain issues and recommend simple doctor approved self treatments that you may find helpful. Proper stretching and massage can relieve many issues caused from old worn out shoes or over use.
