Eugene half/full continues to be one of my favorites! It is always pretty competitive and appears to be very well run. I ran the full a few years ago and had a great experience, so I was not surprised that the half was just as great. My one comment/suggestion is for the race to have more water at the finish line. I know the race strives to be as green as possible, so no need to have plastic bottles, but some cups with water would have been great.

This was my favorite race to date! Amazing course, beautiful scenery, very well organized and bananas on the course(BRILLIANT. Finishing on Hayward Field on the Jumbo Tron was amazing. The after part was so well organized, no lines, lots of water and food and no lines. Would receommend this race to anyone wanting to run a half or full marathon.
This is a great race! I have run it every year since 2010! The course is mostly flat (mile 8 to 9 is my least favorite) it’s a decent hill to get to the top of! Gorgeous views of both Eugene and Springfield…running along the river is beautiful! This year I did the full for the first time! Eclectic Edge Racing provides the timing/announcing for this race and many of them in town and nearby cities…they are amazing!!! I highly recommend this race if you’ve never done it!
I have ran the Eugene Half Marathon twice now and had a great experience both times. The course is great, mostly flat with some hills to break up the monotony. I love that it starts with the marathoners and runs the marathon course for the majority of the race. This allows for lots of runners around to pace off of as well as plenty of water stops and crowds of people cheering. They do an excellent job putting such a large race on. Definitely a favorite!!
The organizers put on a pretty organized event, and are very responsive to runner suggestions and issues. The course is nice, but parts of the roads are cambered on a slant that can be tough on tired legs. Giving it 4.5 stars because having to pass the finish line at mile 9 is a mean trick to play on people. Shuttle system worked fine, but one year they were late to pick us up so we got to the start just as the race started. Finishing on the track is a super nice touch! The medals and shirts are always nice and there’s plenty of course support.
