Reebok Ragnar Wasatch Back is the race that started it all. This 200-ish mile overnight running relay begins in Northern Utah in the city of Logan and traverses across the back of Utah’s rough and tough Wasatch Mountains. Teams of 12 runners (or ultra-teams of 6 runners) tag team miles across three mountain passes, next to alpine lakes and past fields of wildflowers. When the sun sets, billions of stars, lit-up vans and glowsticks light the night. Teams finish together like champions at Solider Hollow, UT, the home of the 2002 Winter Olympic Games. Learn for yourself why so many runners have Ragnar stickers on their car, or come back and do it bigger, better and faster than before.

Newport lies at the heart of Oregon’s beautiful central coast. Blue water, crashing surf, and natural wonders abound in seemingly endless variety. It’s the perfect setting for a marathon. Along the course runners will be treated to a splendid variety of views and scenery, wildlife and shipping, fishermen and crabbers. It is a flat, very fast, and beautiful course that will produce numerous PR’s. Our course is USATF certified and has proven to be a very good “first marathon” as well as an excellent qualifier for the Boston Marathon.

Beacon Rock State Park, Skamania County, WA, United States

The Beacon Rock races are harder than your average trail race courses thanks mostly to the elevation gain and loss for each course, 7500ft for the 50k and 3750ft for the 25k. The route is basically a ~23km “figure eight” with a 0.8 mile out and back from the start/finish area, The Beacon Rock Group Camp Site, to the figure eight. The 50k is two “loops” of the 25k course.

Each loop has a mixture of pavement(0.6mi), single track trail, and wider double track or dirt road. Most of the time the tread is smooth, the grade gradual and you can trust your footing but of course there are exceptions! You’re in the forest most of the time but the views(on a clear day) going up and from the top of Hamilton Mountain of the Columbia River Gorge, Mt Hood, and Mt Adams are spectacular.

Sauvie Island Pumpkin Patch, 16511 NW Gillihan Rd., Portland, Oregon, 97231

The “Flat,” as we affectionately call it, has become a Fourth of July tradition around Portland. The course, as the name implies, is about the flattest and fastest half and full marathon on the West Coast.

But in addition to the fast times expected from completing this event, runners and walkers will be treated to the beautiful sights of Sauvie Island, including thousands of songbirds, majestic bald eagles, and picturesque farmland that most of the island residents subsist off of.

Oh yeah, don’t forget the island-fresh strawberry shortcake!
